Project Applause June Concert Features Many SSU Alums

Project Applause, a non-profit organization that focuses on merging audiences and emerging performers, will present "A Song for Summer” on June 13th.  
 
This elegant gala concert features six performers including internationally recognized countertenor Christopher Fritzsche (BA, Music, ’69), as well as acclaimed soprano Susan Witt-Butler, an SSU voice instructor. Project Applause will also be introducing local sopranos Kimberly Anderman, Christa Durand (BA, Music, ‘08) and Eva Maass with accompaniment by pianist Dr. Leslie Dukes.
 
The performance will spotlight an historic array of vocal literature spanning the last four centuries and will feature the timeless works of Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Fauré, Puccini and others. 
 
All proceeds will benefit Project Applause, which works to provide extensive performance experience to emerging classical vocalists.  The group was founded by Michael Van Why (BA, Music, ’08).
 
The event will take place at Santa Rosa’s Glaser Center in Santa Rosa, beginning at 7 pm with a pre-show reception featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.
